Reporting to the Chief Customer and Operating Officer and a member of the Operations Division Leadership Team, the  Project Manager is a newly created strategic position responsible for leading and managing a diverse range of projects across our programs. This role will suit a dynamic Project Manager who wants to help define excellence in project management for MTC and who is driven to     help MTC achieve its overall strategic objectives and deliver a growth agenda through the execution of well managed projects.

With experience working across a broad range of projects and strategic change initiatives, this role will work across new program implementation, culture and transformation programs, divisional growth initiatives and start-up ventures, working with SMEs and members of all teams. The Project Manager will provide leadership and guidance to the Project Management team, including embedding best practice project management methodologies and proven change management strategies.

The Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Project management – develop project scopes and objectives, establishing project plans and protocol for managing projects; and oversee the implementation of projects, liaising closely with Subject Matter Experts, Finance, internal and external stakeholders, ensuring deadlines are met, and project resources and budgets are managed.
  • Project governance – run project meetings, maintain project risk registers, and monitor and report on projects according to project management framework.
  • Stakeholder communication – ensure high quality project status reports and other supporting documentation is shared with relevant stakeholders including preparing Board updates and reports.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • At least five years’ demonstrated experience managing a diverse range of projects, with a track record of delivering on time, in budget and within scope.
  • Experience in change management and leading transformation projects.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • Sound attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen and organisational awareness.
  • Excellent organisation, time management, and planning skills.
  • Project Management certifications and/or qualifications are desirable
