About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Employment Consultant to join our Employment Services team at Caboolture.

Our Employment Services division is dedicated to generating opportunities that empower and encourage people to find gainful employment and make a positive contribution to their community. We deliver a holistic program which assists and supports jobseekers in securing employment through case management, coaching, work skills training, pre-vocational training, and job matching. We gain success through forming partnerships with key organisations in government, business and the wider community.

Reporting to the Area Manager potential tasks may include:

• Complete customer assessments and work collaboratively with customers to progress them forward.
• Support customers into finding sustainable work through sourcing suitable vacancies and assisting customers with developing marketing tools.
• Engage with local employers including utilising our own Recruitment Coaches to identify work opportunities for participants on the caseload.
• Build rapport with the customer, understand their goals and circumstances – including managing their expectations.
• Collaborate with internal psychologists and external partners to support customers in overcoming non-vocational barriers.

About You

The ideal applicant we are seeking will have:

• Minimum of two years local industry and/or recruitment experience with a proven ability to achieve set KPIs and deliver superior customer service.
• High level negotiation and networking skills, with the ability to build effective networks.
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to forge effective relationships with a wide range of key stakeholders. 
• Strong positive problem solving, conflict resolution skills and mentoring and coaching ability.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and the ability to understand, communicate with, and effectively interact with people across cultures, socio-economic background and life experience.
