Fitter Machinist

Our client - A leading Australian Packaging company, is a manufacturer of high quality plastic tubing to the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

This is a Three Month Annual Leave Coverage Role with a possible opportunity of continuance.

Core Competencies:

• Fitting of all engineering elements
• Fault find of machine and production issues
• Machine Set Ups for Production Depts - medium speed components
• Lathe & Milling (NC and conventional) & Drilling
• Welding a plus (Mig and Arc)

This position is a day shift role - 7am-3.06pm Monday-Friday, and O/T on weekdays as required. Plus rotating Saturdays (at this stage every second or third Saturday). Being on call is included in the hourly rate, though if you are called out penalty rates apply. Call outs are not frequent.

Experience Required:

• You must hold an Australian Trade Certificate & have full working rights
• Experience in preventative maintenance, trouble shooting, breakdowns and shutdown work within a manufacturing environment
• An understanding of GMP and HACCP
• Work within team environment and autonomously
• A working understanding within a OH&S environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good condition of tools of trade
