A rare opportunity is now available for a Head of RTO to join the team within a Social Enterprise.  You will take the lead in using your strong Management and Business Development skills to build and expand our RTO Division. Work closely with the Chief Customer & Operating Officer in developing the go-to-market strategy to transition the RTO from an internal supporting business function, to a stand-alone commercial entity operating within the company portfolio.
  
This pivotal role will include:
  • Expansion, management and performance of the Division
  • Manage day to day operations and staffing to ensure delivery of training that meets quality standards and business KPIs
  • Building on existing scope of qualifications working closely with the Curriculum team to further refine and develop training offerings
  • Create a business development function and strategy to build market share and meet revenue targets
  • Establish partnerships within relevant industries to generate revenue and increased training delivery opportunities
  • Initiate and build relationships with Government and funding bodies to build awareness and drive improved financial outcomes
  • Ensure overall compliance with all relevant external bodies - including contract requirements, quality assurance, accreditation and legislative requirements
  • Compliance with the VET Quality Framework and ASQA registration requirements
What you need to be successful in the role:
  • Experience in successfully building an RTO from the ground-up, or delivering significant growth in an already established environment
  • Strong business development experience, including defining a sales strategy, leading a sales team and developing partnerships
  • Ability to provide strong leadership to a business unit and the people within it
  • P&L management, including forecasting and cost management
  • Proven experience in securing State and Federal training funding
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Australian Skills Quality Authority
  • Customer centric mindset, with a track record of high-quality service and delivery
  • Experience in overseeing or inputting into training design and curriculum development
  • Knowledge of best practice processes and reporting to manage client service delivery and customer experience
