Machine Operator

My client is one of Australia's largest manufacturing organisations that specialises in office and school furniture. As a result, they are looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join their team starting on 2^nd January 2024 in Minto

This role will be working 40hrs per week on a casual basis with a view to permanent for the right applicant

This role will be working on the afternoon shift – Monday to Friday from 3pm to 11:30pm

Pay rate: $35.75p.h

Role Description:

• Working with educational and school furniture products such as desks, tables and chairs
• Setting up and operating machines
• Performing routine maintenance checks
• Measuring raw materials and feeding them into the machines
• Fixing machines that have broken down when required
• Using basic hand and power tools
• Assisting with assembling of products
• Packing orders
• Other factory hand / machine operating duties as required

What you need:

• Previous machine operating experience in a factory or manufacturing environment
• Experience using basic hand and power tools
• Strong attention to details
• Good problem solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Be physically fit and flexible to do other duties in the factory
• Capable to complete repetitive manual tasks
• Committed to work in a long-term capacity
• Have unlimited Australian working rights with no limits on your working hours
• Available to start immediately
