Mechanical Fitter

My client is one of Australia’s No. 1 pure coffee brands — a proud, family‑owned business since 1958. Due to peak production periods and ongoing growth, they are seeking two experienced Trade‑Qualified Mechanical Fitters to join their Silverwater team.

These roles offer an immediate start, with positions available on both Day and Afternoon shifts.

These opportunities will commence on a casual basis, with the strong potential to transition into a permanent position for the right applicants.

Shifts Available

1 x Day Shift – 6am to 2pm

1 x Afternoon Shift – 1pm to 9pm

About the Role

You will play a hands-on role in maintaining, repairing and optimising a variety of production and packaging equipment within a fast‑paced FMCG environment. Your work will support safe operations, minimise downtime and contribute to the delivery of high-quality coffee products enjoyed across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, repair and maintain mechanical machinery and equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults to reduce breakdowns and downtime
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Support production and packaging machinery across the facility
• Follow all safety, lockout/tag‑out and compliance procedures
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

What You’ll Bring

• Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
• 2–4 years’ experience in FMCG or other high‑volume manufacturing
• A stable career history with long tenure in previous roles
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving abilities
• Experience using hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment
• A proactive, safety‑focused approach to all tasks
• Ability to work effectively in a team and have good communication skills with flexibility on hours
• Able to start work immediately
• Have unlimited Australian working rights and be living in Australia
