Plastic Extruder / Machine Operator

Our client is a designer and manufacturer of industry-leading food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical tubes and is looking for an Experienced Plastic Extruder / Machine Operator to join their team in the Smithfield area

This position will initially be offered on a temporary basis which could lead to a permanent role. You will be required to work on a DAY SHIFT- Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm + overtime when required

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Operating a plastic extruder machine
• Putting raw materials into machines
• Performing quality testing and ensuring that all products manufactured meet the required standards
• Perform daily production plans
• Change machine parts for job changeover
• Other manufacturing duties as required

To be considered for this position, you will have:

• Previous experience working in a plastic manufacturing environment
• Packaging and printing experience would be an advantage
• Familiar with FMCG environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude skills
• Able to meet deadlines
• Great communication skills
• Be committed to a long term opportunity
• Work well as part of a team
• Able to follow instructions
• A can do attitude
