About the Role

We are currently seeking an RTO Compliance Operations Specialist to join our Governance, Risk and Compliance team on a 3-month max term contract. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the RTO Compliance Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements of MTC’s RTO, which encompasses all Education and Training programs within MTC Australia.

 You will be responsible for carrying out duties, such as:

  • Assisting in the monitoring of the compliance and regulatory requirements, including regulatory audits for the RTO and implementation of feedback for continuous improvement, to ensure the Education and Training division meet all regulatory, compliance and contractual requirements.
  • Undertaking internal and external monitoring activities to ensure compliance with QMS, ASQA regulatory standards, Program Deeds/contracts, Guidelines, Performance Thresholds, reviewing Internal Forms, Policies and Procedures and MTC’s SDM as per the Compliance Internal Auditing Schedule.
  • Ability to drive and influence compliance across the RTO.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the RTO's scope of registration, including transition, removal, and addition of qualifications and Units of Competency.
  • Working knowledge of ASQA standards and conditions.
  • Managing regulatory compliance for Government contracts and Standards for RTOs 2015.
  • Working collaboratively with Risk and Quality to support and ensure programs meet all the requirements of external ISO 9001 audits.

 About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the Vocational Education and Training sector.
  • Qualifications in Diploma of Quality Auditing and/or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 (highly desirable)
  • Demonstrated understanding of the VET Quality Framework with detailed knowledge of the Standards for RTOs 2015.
  • Experience in the preparation and conducting of internal compliance reviews and participation in funding and regulatory compliance audits (highly desirable)
  • Exceptional communications skills, including the ability to write technical documents such as policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and work instructions.
  • Working knowledge of ASQA standards and conditions.
