My Client, a Local Council located in the Lower North Shore are looking for an experienced and competent Oxy and Arc Welder who is skilled in welding to join their team immediately.

Working out of the Depot's onsite workshop, your duties will include:
- Plan and complete allocated work activities coordinating the provision of labour, plant and materials
- Complete activities associated with the manufacture, maintenance and repair of metal items
- Interpret and calculate quantities of plans and specifications
- Assist the Pavements and Contracts Supervisor to organise all repairs and reporting
- Carry out functions falling within the position of Metal Fabricator / Boilermaker
- Prepare timesheets and maintain daily work records of staff work activities
- Carry out overtime as required for the satisfactory completion of the works program
- Prepare job estimates for minor works projects
- Organise and accept delivery of supplies of goods and services, and checking materials against delivery dockets
- Liaison with suppliers, repairers and manufacturers for the timely supply, repair and purchase of plant and vehicles
- Maintain the workshop in a clean and orderly condition
- Continually monitors work procedures, practices and production with a view of achieving improvements
