Australian owned and operated Civil / Environmental Waste organisation is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join their team in Western Sydney. Not only will you manage on-site maintenance requirements, you will oversee mechanical operations nationally.

As the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that all plant & equipment is serviced and maintained in good working order, and monitoring maintenance progress at all times.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead your team in the delivery of multi-site management and maintenance of equipment, including arranging inspections to ensure applicable site standards are met, and the items of plant are complaint and in working condition.
  • Manage the Change Control process for all modifications and improvements to Infrastructure and Earthmoving equipment
  • Plan staff activities in advance, including allocating man hours / resources available
  • Maintain appropriate stock of critical spares and replacement parts in the workshop, both for routine and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Oversee the sourcing and purchasing of parts and supplies necessary for the efficient operation of all plant & equipment, including critical spare
  • Adhere to company formal process to service plant & equipment consistently, efficiently and safely.
  
To be successful you will possess the following:
  • Extensive knowledge of earthmoving equipment and management experience
  • Mechanical Trade qualification
  • Have sound diagnostic skills and experience
  • Strong administration and computer skills
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems associated with plant & equipment found in quarry's and large construction sites
  • Extensive on-site experience managing a workshop for mobile earthmoving plant and a fleet of Light Vehicles and fixed machines
  • The ability to estimate time and cost implications of both scheduled and emergency maintenance
  • Strong commitment to safety and a proactive approach to safety processes and practices on site
