Get to know the newest member of the MTC Recruitment team, Business Development Manager Anthony Boutros!

What was your first ever job?

My first job was at the good old Video Ezy local store which I loved because I was able to borrow all the new release films which I would take home and binge.

What made you want to come and work at MTC?

I have always known MTC to be a fantastic organisation. Previously working in the industry, I would regularly encounter staff and people who dealt with the organisation directly and they always had wonderful things to say about MTC. When I first had my interview for the BDM role, Dale informed me about the various social initiatives MTC is a part of and the inspiration, capability, and opportunity we offer the wider community every single day which made me want to be a part of it even more. Now that I have firsthand experience working for MTC, I know that the good I hear is all true and I am especially glad as I work with a fantastic bunch of individuals.

What are you responsible for in your role at MTC?

In my current role, my primary focus is around building clients within the Warehousing and Logistics space and promoting MTC initiatives.

Tell us a bit about your life outside of work.

I recently got married to my beautiful fiancé of two years (lucky we were able to pull it off just before the restrictions hit). Growing up, I took sports seriously and was always involved in competitions for Rugby League, Tennis, Touch Footy and Oz-Tag. I love my outdoors and try to get together with family and friends for a game of park footy or just to do something active.

What are some of your goals (work or personal) for 2021?

With the pandemic driving us all crazy and making life more difficult my main goal was to get married and thankfully I was able to accomplish that.

Are there any TV shows, movies or books that you’ve seen or read recently that you’d recommend?

I recently finished two series which I would recommend including Dr Death and Queen of the South. I have also completed reading the Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini which I thought was excellent.
