Assistant Accountant

💼 The Role

As an Assistant Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. Reporting to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing full accounts payable and receivable cycles
• Performing data entry and maintaining accurate financial records
• Supporting month-end processes and reporting
• Handling invoice processing and payment runs
• Performing complex bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing fixed asset registers and depreciation calculations
• Coordinating external audit processes
• Assisting with special projects and ad-hoc analysis

✅ What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
• 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong technical knowledge of Australian accounting standards
• Advanced Excel and financial systems skills
• Experience in financial statement preparation
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure

Desirable:

• Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite
• Previous experience in a similar Assistant Accountant role

💰 Salary & Benefits

• $80,000 + Super
• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
