Are you a seasoned finance professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic, community-focused environment? We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead the financial operations of a well-established organisation based on the Central Coast.
This is a pivotal role that supports strategic growth, financial sustainability, and compliance across all areas of the business. Reporting into Senior Management, you will work closely with the leadership team to drive financial performance and ensure robust financial governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day finance operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts.
- Lead the budgeting process in collaboration with department heads.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations including BAS, PAYG, Superannuation, and FBT.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and financial policies.
- Support commercial teams with financial modelling and analysis.
- Assist with grant applications, sponsorship financials, and revenue tracking.
Key Selection Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- CPA or CA qualification. (Or working towards)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior finance role.
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Prior experience in community or not-for-profit based sectors.
