About the Role 

We are looking for someone to join our education and training team as an Instructional Designer. Our team are passionate about community education and programs that help deliver social outcomes. 

Reporting to the Senior Instructional Designer, the Instructional Designer will be responsible for development of a range of learning and assessment mediums for a variety of educational programs within the organisation. Key duties of this role will include:

  • Design and maintain interactive and engaging content that integrates instructional design. 
  • Collaborate closely with the team and other internal stakeholders to understand development requirements and create innovative, quality and cost-effective learning solutions to enhance student engagement.
  • Actively contribute to the development of learning and assessment content, processes and activities that are aligned to accredited and non-accredited programs. 
  • Evaluate and continuously improve learning programs in alignment with the needs of various cohorts.  
  • Maintain awareness of industry best practices to recommend innovative solutions that effectively contribute to learning and assessment that also complies with regulatory standards and guidelines.

About You

The ideal applicant we are seeking will have:

  • Experience in developing high quality, engaging training materials and resources to suit the needs of diverse cohorts.
  • Experience in developing language, literacy and numeracy assessment resources.
  • Experience in developing e-learning, and using authoring tools and learning management systems, e.g, Articulate 360, Canvas
  • Good working knowledge of the ACSF, AQF and Standards for Registered Training Organisations.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. 
  • Excellent written communication and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a good understanding of best practice for instructional design. 
  • Project management skills with the ability to scope projects, meet timeframes and deliver outcomes.
