Full-Time Monday to Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
About the Role
This is your opportunity to join a well-established Australian manufacturer with a proud history of innovation and reliability. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance across a busy processing site. You’ll work closely with the Maintenance and Production teams to ensure plant reliability, safety compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and infrastructure.
- Capable of diagnosing and repairing faults in rotating equipment (pumps, motors, valves and gearboxes).
- Capable of repairing and overhauling pumps, valves, and gearboxes.
- Able to repair and replace pipework and perform fitting/fabrication work when needed.
- Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs, including occasional after-hours callouts.
- Assist with planned shutdowns and overtime work as required.
- Maintain accurate records in the CMMS (MEX or similar).
- Uphold strong safety standards, including isolation and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Liaise with operators and other personnel to coordinate maintenance activities.
What You’ll Bring
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance Fitting.
- Proven experience in industrial, manufacturing, or processing environments.
- Strong fault-finding skills and hands-on experience with rotating equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems (MEX preferred).
- Commitment to adhering to safety requirements in high-risk environments.
- Good degree of physical fitness
Desirable Skills:
- Basic welding (TIG/MIG/stick) for minor repairs and fabrication.
- Experience with reliability-centred maintenance (RCM).
- Exposure to chemical processing or similar industries.
- Shutdown/turnaround maintenance experience.
