Mechanical Fitter

Our client is a well-known manufacturer and is not just a leader in the industry but also in innovation. They have been in operation for over 40 years and continue to go from strength to strength. Due to new projects and continued growth, they are currently seeking Maintenance Fitter to join the team.

Responsibilities:

• The delivery of reliable, efficient, safe, strategic, and routine preventative maintenance activities.
• Carrying out repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment to ensure production schedules and goals are achieved.
• Responding to breakdown situations to repair to all plant equipment as requested by the relevant Manager/Supervisor.
• Working from prioritized Maintenance schedule within our internal maintenance planning system.
• Maintaining all registers, logs, and systems to track repairs, notifications, and work activities.
• Working to achieve pre-determined and measurable KPIs.

Requirements:

• Recognized Mechanical Trade Qualification (Cert 3 Engineering Trade).
• Experience in Hydraulics and Pneumatics would be advantageous.
• Ideally have a background in manufacturing environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions during emergency situations.
• Identify operational and equipment improvement opportunities through ongoing investigation and root cause analysis of faults.
• Strong understanding of safety and environmental practices with a commitment to best practice
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
