Our client is a designer and manufacturer of industry-leading food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical tubes and is looking for a Base Tube Operator / Machine Operator to join their team in the Smithfield area


This position will initially be offered on a temporary long-term basis which could lead to a permanent role. You will be required to work on a day shift - Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm + overtime when required


About the Job:


The job will include but not be limited by the following tasks;


OBJECTIVES


  • Produce high-quality tubes
  • Meet production targets
  • Perform quality tests and ensure that all product manufactured meets the required standard
  • Promote a safe & clean working environment

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/AUTHORITIES


  • Ensure that all the raw materials required for production are in stock & available
  • Change machine parts for job change over
  • Liaise with shift Supervisor re: daily production plan
  • Start, operate, shut down base tube line and change over parts/tools

 

ORGANISING


  • Prioritise work/tasks according to the needs of the business & our customers
  • Ensure that work areas are clean and that the cleaning schedule has been completed daily
  • Carry out a line clearance at the end of each order

 

GENERAL DUTIES 


  • Ensure that the work environment is HACCP compliant
  • Assist as required during changeovers (empty boxes, start/stop the machine, etc
  • Complete required daily production reports
  • Work in a safe manner in line with WHS and policy of Impact

  • Work well as part of a team
  • Available to start immediately
  • Fully vaccinated
