Street Cleansing Labourer

About the Role

We are currently seeking reliable and physically fit Casual Street Cleansing Labourers to support daily street and public space cleaning operations. This is a hands-on, outdoor role focused on keeping high‑traffic public areas clean, safe and presentable.

You’ll be working independently or as part of a small team to maintain streets, footpaths, malls and public spaces using manual methods and equipment.

Shift Times

Shifts are 8 hours in duration and may start at:

• 1:30 am
• 4:00 am
• 6:30 am
• 11:30 am
• 12:30 pm

Flexibility with start times is highly regarded.

Key Duties

• Manual street cleansing including sweeping, litter collection and waste removal
• Emptying, cleaning and maintaining public litter bins
• Cleaning footpaths, roads, malls and CBD areas
• Manual handling of bins (empty up to 10kg, full up to 50kg)
• Working safely in public areas around pedestrians and traffic
• Representing a professional and respectful presence in the community

Driver & Work Location Details

• A current Class C Driver Licence is preferred
• Non‑drivers will still be considered and can be allocated to mall or CBD‑based locations only

What We’re Looking For

• Physically fit and capable of repetitive manual work
• Ability to lift and manoeuvre bins up to 50kg when full
• Reliable, punctual and able to work early or unusual hours
• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
