Trade Assistant

• Experienced Trade Assistants required for an immediate start in Condell Park
• Working with a well-known organisation that specialises in making commercial and residential garage doors

• Paying above the award rate – Day Shift - $31p/h | Afternoon Shift - $35.65p/h

The Company:

Our client is a well-known manufacturer that specialises in making garage doors for the commercial and residential industries based in Condell Park. Due to new projects and continued growth, we are now currently seeking Trade Assistants with a strong tooling background to start work immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Tradesman make handmade aluminium sectional doors with architectural features
• Assembling frames, fixing composite and natural products to aluminium frames
• Cutting and drilling aluminium frames
• Use of air powered tools, pop rivet guns, drills, measuring tapes and other power tools 
• Operating a counter balance forklift

About the candidate:

• Experience working as a Trade Assistant with strong tooling experience
• Knowledge and strong experience of using hand and power tools
• High attention to details
• Mechanically minded and can think outside the box
• Excellent communication skills
• A team player and possess good problem-solving skills
• Current LF Forklift licence
• Physically fit and healthy and committed to an ongoing assignment
• Able to pass a police check

The Benefits:

• Monday to Friday role – DAY SHIFT is Monday to Thursday from 6am to 2:30pm & Friday 6am to 12pm and AFTERNOON SHIFT is Monday to Thursday from 2pm to 10:30pm & Friday 11:15am to 5:15pm
• On-going role with a view to permanent for the right applicant
• Paying above the award rate - $31p/h for DS & $35.65p/h for AFTERNOON
