About the Role
We are looking for a NDIS Youth Employment Coach to join our team in Westmead. Our NDIS Youth Employment team is responsible for delivering support to school leavers (Ages 16-26) who have a NDIS plan with a goal of employment. We support and mentor participants to build skills to find meaningful, sustainable employment.
Reporting to the NDIS Operations Manager, the NDIS Youth Employment Coach will:
- Participate in developing and implementing individual and group-based capacity building, job readiness and work experience support.
- Provide onsite work experience support to increase total understanding of workplace expectations and behaviours.
- Optimise appropriate work experience opportunities for participants.
- Support participants with personal growth and development.
- Maintain necessary documentation of service provision and reporting.
- Liaise and network with internal and external stakeholders.
About You:
The ideal applicant we are seeking will have:
- Cert III in disability or relevant experience in the field.
- Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
- NDIS Workers Check (NDISWC)
- Previous experience or knowledge of the NDIS employment supports/Disability Employment Services and/or working in a post school program is highly desirable.
- Proven skills in building collaborative partnerships through ongoing coaching, mentoring, support and effective case management.
- Ability to implement strategies to support participants to achieve their goals.
- Ability to establish professional working relationships with participants, families and external stakeholders.
